‘How Dare He?!’ Dem Rep Blasts Trump for Calling Omarosa a ‘Dog’

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump continued to attack former White House aide, Omarosa Manigault-Newman, as news surfaced that she would release another controversial audio recording.

Provoking some strong reactions, his newest tweet referred to Manigault-Newman as a “dog”:

“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out,” he tweeted. “Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!”

While appearing on CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday morning, Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) fiercely criticized Trump after those statements.

“How dare he?! He has taken this country to its knees,” Wilson exclaimed.

She went on to claim that people can’t even enjoy an evening out and cited how racism is “raining down” on America.

Her comments came just after the first anniversary of the violent and racially-charged protests in Charlottesville, Virginia last year.

“The president is calling a woman of color a dog?! How dare he?!” she reiterated. After noting how Trump came up with nicknames for others, she said his nickname was “Don in the first grade reader.”

Wilson previously caught headlines when she joined a growing list of Democratic politicians who refused to attend Trump’s State of the Union address earlier this year. She also claimed that she listened to a phone conversation in which Trump made a fallen soldier’s wife cry.
