Hogg Attacks Fox Again, But This Time They’re Ready… Put Him Flat on Face

Liberals preach “tolerance,” but seem incapable of actually tolerating any viewpoint that doesn’t perfectly mirror their own.

Case in point: David Hogg. The Parkland, Florida, student-turned-full-time activist already caused a kerfuffle when he tried to shut down conservative commentator Laura Ingraham back in March, leading an ineffective boycotts of her Fox News program after she dared bring up his university rejections.

It looks like Hogg just cannot stand a woman who has her own opinions, because he’s at it again. The angry activist is demanding yet another boycott against Ingraham, this time because she didn’t parrot the liberal talking points about migrant centers near the border.

The temporary detention of migrant children whose parents break the law or cannot be confirmed as their real guardians has sparked outrage from the left… and also a vast amount of disinformation.

First, photos from the Barack Obama presidency were wrongly used to attack Donald Trump, when in fact the “cages” shown in the images were used under Obama’s watch.

Then, a photo of a crying boy behind a fence went viral, allegedly showing inhumane conditions at U.S. border centers. It turned out to be fake: The photo was staged at a rally, and didn’t actually represent the true conditions of detention centers.

Who needs truth when you can just make things up?

Videos and images released by the Department of Health and Human Services showed the actual detention areas, and they appear far more welcoming than the left would have you believe.

The videos show well-clothed kids playing games such as billiards when not eating in the cafeteria or attending the on-site school classes — all while supervised by health and social workers. That’s not the mainstream media’s image of the detention centers.

That’s exactly what Ingraham pointed out, and it sent David Hogg into a tailspin.

“Fox News opinion host Laura Ingraham has faced a ferocious backlash on social media since comparing temporary detention centers set up on the border to house migrant children taken away from their parents to ‘essentially summer camps’ (or boarding schools) on her Monday night show,” noted The Hollywood Reporter.

Remember, she’s an opinion host: Like an editorial columnist, it’s literally her job to express opinions on her show and then discuss them.

But anyone having an opinion at odds with liberal orthodoxy is apparently verboten to Hogg. He jumped onto Twitter and sanctimoniously threatened to once again boycott Ingraham for speaking her mind, despite the lackluster results of his last attempt.

“So @IngrahamAngle we meet again. Who are you biggest advertisers now?” the teen activist posted online.

“If we get these advertisers pulled maybe @Ingraham will have to become a camp counselor and learn how wrong she is,” Hogg also posted, followed by a list of Ingraham Angle advertisers.

It seems Hogg didn’t bother to do basic research. Far from needing to be educated on the immigration issue, Ingraham knows about it all too well. The Fox News host is actually doing something about the problem, and has adopted at least three foreign children in need of homes.

One girl from Guatemala was adopted in 2008, and two boys were adopted by Ingraham from Russia, according to former media mogul Conrad Black, writing in National Review.

Yes, Hogg wants to make the single mother of three immigrant children lose her job, and take away the paycheck that supports them. This is liberalism in 2018.

Things get worse — for Hogg, that is. It turns out that Ingraham was quoting the San Diego Tribune, a respected newspaper.

“Many elements of Casa San Diego, an El Cajon facility for unaccompanied children who arrived at the southern border, seem like what one would expect from a boarding school,” the newspaper wrote about the immigrant center.

“There are classrooms, a play area with soccer goals and a medical clinic with superheroes like Wonder Woman, Superman and the Hulk on the walls,” the paper continued.

It’s David Hogg’s old nemesis: Calm reporting of facts.

While Fox News may have been caught off guard by Hogg’s last attempt to attack the female host, the network was prepared this time.

In a scathing statement responding to Hogg, Fox stood by Ingraham and pointed out that she had personal experience with immigration issues, not to mention has the right to form opinions.

“Laura Ingraham’s very personal, on-the-ground commitment to the plight of impoverished and abandoned children — specifically in Guatemala — speaks for itself,” the statement said, according to Newsweek.

“So, too, does her strong belief in a common-sense, legal immigration system, which will continue to be a focus of her show. Fox News will never tolerate or give in to attempts to silence diverse viewpoints by agenda-driven intimidation efforts.”

It seems that posting attacks on Twitter like Hogg is far easier than actually doing something about the downtrodden of the world.

“I suggest that a lot of the folks who are worried about that spend more time in Central America. I have,” Ingraham stated in response to the controversy over her comments, accoring to The Hollywood Reporter.

“And we should make adoption easier for American couples who want to adopt these kids who are true candidates for adoption because our policies don’t allow that. So let’s put our hearts out there for the kids in the right way. Take care of them the right way. Open your hearts and your homes to them,” she continued.

That’s an incredibly refreshing stance: If you’re truly concerned about the situation, find something that you can do yourself, without waiting for government to fix the world’s problems.

Equally refreshing is Fox’s refusal to cave into pressure from an increasingly irrelevant activist — Hogg — who seems to be desperately chasing the media spotlight on any issue.

It turns out that he has a lot to learn about the world. Emotionalism doesn’t make you constantly right, as most teenagers learn as they become adults.
